Capital Park Construction Update: Capital Park Residences Has Broken Ground

On January 14, 2019 construction began on Capital Park Residences, a collection of sophisticated concrete-built condominium homes and townhomes, marking the start of the final phase of the Capital Park master-plan community. A joint venture between Concert and Jawl Properties, Capital Park also includes rental, retail and two office buildings, completing a new and significant Victoria neighbourhood.

Concert has experience developing forward-looking master-plan communities that enhance neighbourhoods, and the well-being of its residents and the surrounding community, for years to come. Once an under-used land parcel, Capital Park is bringing vibrancy to the historic James Bay community adjacent to the BC Legislature.

Representing a vision for community coming to fruition, Capital Park features extensive landscaping, winding pathways, water features and an exceptionally thoughtful public space that includes a Red Barn Market, public library and public plaza with the now-open Good Earth Coffeehouse.

“This construction brings us one step closer to realizing an exciting vision for a master-plan community that will transform a neighbourhood,” says Brian McCauley, Concert President and CEO. “By complementing the historical character of this area and delivering an exceptionally thoughtful public realm, this development demonstrates Concert and Jawl Properties’ commitment to creating vibrant, sustainable communities.”
