Concert Accepted for Two-Year Term on the CHBA's Net Zero Energy Housing Council

Concert has been selected as a member of the Canadian Home Builders' Association’s Net Zero Energy Housing Council (NZC). The two-year term with the council, which represents industry expertise from across Canada, will begin on November 1, 2016. Concert was selected to join the NZC based on its significant knowledge of energy efficient building design and sustainable construction practices.

The aim of the NZC is to create a market advantage for CHBA members who pursue industry innovation, ultimately helping Canadians meet their housing needs and boosting Canada’s profile as an international leader in high performance housing. Council members are chosen from a group of applicants that represent builders, renovators, manufacturers, academia and government from across the country.

“We’re pleased to be among this impressive panel of housing innovation leaders,” says Brian McCauley, Concert President and Chief Operating Officer. “We look forward to contributing to the advancement of this key initiative and working with our industry peers from across Canada.”

In addition to contributing to regular council meetings and working groups, Concert will have the opportunity to provide input on key priority areas of the NZC, including the identification of barriers and solutions; transfer of knowledge; shaping of policy; and the acceleration of action that supports net-zero energy housing.
