VANCOUVER, March 31 /CNW/ - Concert and its staff have joined with British Columbia's Professional Fire Fighters to provide services to develop and manage their $25 million Burn Fund Building project.
A first in North America, The Burn Fund Building will contain suites for burn survivors and their families, an interactive, multi-media educational/ resource component, and a research facility for clinical trials in burn and wound healing. Located in central Vancouver, the building's first cornerstone will be dedicated during the British Columbia 2009 World Police & Fire Games.
"Our staff believes we can turn the Burn Fund's great vision for a building into a reality," says David Podmore, President & CEO, Concert Properties Ltd. "They are excited to volunteer their time and expertise to be part of this innovative development and the project is a perfect fit with what Concert is as a company. Giving back to the community and caring about people is part of the fabric of Concert. We are always trying to align with new projects that can make society better."
The British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund is leading the way in many aspects of burn survivor care and fire and burn prevention programs.
