Concert named Innovative Workplace by the YWCA Vancouver Women of Distinction Awards
Concert recognized by YWCA Vancouver for workplace excellence and work/life balance.
Vancouver, BC, Canada - Concert is pleased to announce that it has received the Innovative Workplace Award from the YWCA Vancouver Women of Distinction Awards.
The Innovative Workplace Award recognizes a business or organization that has created a respectful workplace that supports the wellness and diverse needs of its employees and demonstrates excellence in encouraging individuals to balance the demands and rewards of career, family, community and personal growth.
“It is the dedication of our exceptional team of people that has made Concert a success over the past twenty years,” said David Podmore, Chair & CEO, Concert Properties Ltd. “Concert is committed to recognizing and rewarding their efforts through exceptional workplace practices and a culture of work/life balance. We are honoured to have been recognized by YWCA Vancouver for our ongoing commitment.”
Judged by a panel of ten business and community leaders, the Women of Distinction Awards began in 1984 to honour, encourage and recognize women whose outstanding activities and achievements contribute to the health and future of the community. In 2005, the Innovative Workplace Award was introduced to recognize businesses and organizations that promote a variety of positive values, including work/life balance.
The winners were announced at the 2009 Women of Distinction Awards Dinner on June 3, 2009 at the Westin Bayshore, Vancouver.
