In 2006, Concert became a proud partner of the BC Children's Hospital Foundation's Building for Kids program. An initiative undertaken by the Real Estate & Development Community on behalf of BC Children's Hospital, the goal of Building for Kids was to raise $1,000,000 in 2006 to purchase new equipment for BC Children's Hospital. Concert's support of the program includes donating a portion of each sale at its Tapestry project, matching purchaser and employee contributions and publicly challenging other members of the Real Estate & Development Community to pledge their financial support.
In Scarborough, the Concert team has worked with Habitat for Humanity Toronto on their "Breakthrough Build." The largest build in the history of Habitat for Humanity in Canada, the project houses 40 families on a 2.1-acre site.
Since 1990, Collingwood Village has been transformed from 28-acres of light industrial land in East Vancouver to a proud community of more than 5,000 individuals. In addition, the company also helped create and donated office space for the groundbreaking Collingwood Community Policing Centre.
Also, as part of its commitment to the community, Concert made possible the development of Cottage Hospice, a 10-bed hospice in East Vancouver for the terminally ill.
