David R. Podmore, MA (Esc), D.Tech. (Hon.) MCIP, RI, FRI

David Podmore is Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Concert Properties Ltd. Owned exclusively by Canadian union and management pension funds, Concert is an award-winning diversified real-estate enterprise involved in acquiring and developing industrial and commercial properties, rental housing, multi-family condominium housing, resort developments and seniors living communities in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.

David currently serves as Chair of the BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo), as a Director of Terasen Inc., LifeLabs (formerly MDS Metro Laboratory Services), The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP) and is Vice Chair of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Foundation. David was also a Director of the Canadian Tourism Commisssion for eight years; a past memeber of the BC Progress Board; Immediate Past President of the Urban Development Institute (Pacific Region); and Imediate Past Chair of the BC Children's Hospital Foundation (and former Chair of the Foundation's Telethon).

He is the first recipient of the Awards of Excellence established by The Real Estate Institue of BC, and received the 2003 Community Service Award from Volunteer Vancouver. In 2005 David was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
