Three more awards to add to the mantel

Concert recently took home several awards for both residential and commercial properties.

In the Masonry Institute of British Columbia’s Masonry Design Awards held on May 17, Concert was honoured twice. The seniors community Tapestry at Wesbrook Village in Vancouver took home the Award of Merit for Mid/Highrise while our Chelsea condominium development in Victoria won the People’s Choice Award.

On May 10, BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) Calgary presented awards to the best in commercial real estate at the BOMA Excellence Awards. Concert's Central Park Plaza office building in Calgary was recognized with the Outstanding Building of the Year Award in the 100,000 – 249,000 sf category.

Concert & the YMCA celebrate a successful partnership

On June 14, Concert and the YMCA of Greater Vancouver came together to celebrate a unique partnership.

Having worked together hand in hand to build a partnership based on trust and integrity, the site of the original downtown Y was redeveloped into the Robert Lee YMCA and our Patina condominium tower. Today, this exceptional community amenity has 10,500 members and is in its third year of operation while Patina is sold out and filled with happy homeowners.

Concert was selected as the YMCA’s development partner because both believe in the value of healthy communities and the opportunities they provide for people to connect.

Derek Jones recognized at NAIOP Awards

Concert’s very own Derek Jones was recently the recipient of a prestigious award from the Vancouver chapter of NAIOP, the commercial real estate association. During the 2012 NAIOP Vancouver and Business in Vancouver Commercial Real Estate Awards of Excellence held on May 30, Derek received the NAIOP Developing Leader Award.

Derek has been a professional member of the real estate industry since 2004. Upon joining Concert’s Investments team as an Analyst, Derek quickly proved he had what it takes to succeed in the industry. The confidence he inspired led to his rapid promotion to Manager and ultimately, Senior Manager, Investments. In less than a decade Derek has made an atypically large contribution – from leading by example in executing complicated and forward-thinking real estate transactions on a broad range of asset classes to demonstrating exemplary professional conduct.

Please join us in congratulating Derek on this much-deserved recognition!
