David Podmore's Extraordinary Career Honoured at Business Laureates of BC Hall of Fame Induction

On May 14, 2019, David Podmore was inducted into the 2019 Business Laureates of BC Hall of Fame at the 14th annual Gala and Induction Ceremony held at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

Podmore’s induction acknowledges the tremendous impact he has made on the fabric and community of British Columbia, including leadership roles in raising over $3 million for trades training, the first successful “Vote Yes” plebiscite for the 2010 Olympic Games, the refurbishment of BC Place, and key leadership for the realization of both the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centre and BC Children’s Hospital – a testament to his unflagging willingness to give of his time and expertise.

“Concert employees are extremely proud of David,” says Brian McCauley, Concert President and CEO. “David has been a mentor and leader for many both within Concert and across the business community, and an inspiration for the entire Concert team.”

The Concert co-founder, current Chair and Concert Infrastructure Chief Executive Officer, Podmore has been active in countless community initiatives, has served on many Boards and is one of the most trusted executives in our province. Podmore is also the recipient of the Order of British Columbia and the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Medal.

Podmore was inducted into the Urban Development Institute’s (UDI) Hall of Fame last November, reflecting a remarkable career grounded in the real estate industry and his passion for creating vibrant, liveable communities.

“The recognition of David by two esteemed organizations speaks to the impact his inspired leadership has had and continues to have both on Concert and the BC business community,” continues McCauley.
