Angela Aran, People-First Spotlight

People-first spotlight: Angela Aron

Our people are what makes us who we are, and we look forward to sharing their stories with you. This month we shine the spotlight on Angela Aron, our Manager, Property Accounting, who has been with Concert for a total of 13 years:

In your own words, please describe your role:

I oversee all the operation aspects of accounting for all the residential and commercial properties Concert owns in British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta and Quebec.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining the Concert team?

Concert values its employee by listening and implementing as much as possible on staff opinions. Concert is an equal-opportunity employer, set to give everyone a chance to bring the best in themselves to their workplace, and be happy and productive while supporting new initiatives and ideas.

How do Concert’s values and mission align with your personal values?

When I work, I think there is continuous room for improvement and so does Concert. When I need to solve an issue, I do always put first the ethical aspects – and so does Concert. I truly believe the work we perform should be at the highest standards of quality and service and so does Concert.

What is your favourite memory of your time with Concert?

My fondest memory with Concert was volunteering to organize the Sleep Out for Covenant House in Vancouver which supported homeless youth in British Columbia. Our fundraising and awareness made an impact on the lives of many young women and men in need.

What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?

I have a variety of interest/hobbies. I volunteer for a track and field club, play guitar and am learning to play piano. I’m an avid runner, hiker, skier, biker (bike-packing, mountain biking and road biking), and I play volleyball. I also recently started painting and learning Spanish.
