This holiday season, Concert is proud to be working with residents and staff across our three Tapestry Retirement Communities to support the “Be Santa to a Senior” program.
This unique program brings joy to seniors in need during the holiday season. Over the past six years, the program has provided 1.2 million gifts to more than 700,000 deserving seniors across North America!
Within each of our Tapestry communities, Christmas trees have been erected in the lobby and decorated with paper ornaments that contain the name of a senior and a needed gift. Tapestry residents, friends, family, staff and anyone interested in participating are encouraged to drop by a Tapestry lobby - all staffed 24 hours a day - and to become a "Santa" by selecting an ornament off of the tree. Santas are then asked to shop for the gift requested and return it unwrapped to the same Tapestry community before December 16. Tapestry staff and volunteers will wrap each gift and hand-deliver them to the seniors’ homes in advance of Christmas.
This is a great opportunity to spread holiday cheer by making a meaningful difference in the life of a senior this holiday season. For those with a desire to avoid holiday shopping chaos, financial donations will also be accepted at each community. Donated funds will be used by Tapestry staff to shop on the donor’s behalf.
