Behind every successful portfolio are people who place their trust in a company and invest in its long-term success. At Concert Properties, we believe our investors deserve more than just strong returns. They deserve to feel informed, supported and connected to the business.
Today, Concert has grown to over $6.6 billion in assets under control and currently owns and manages more than 12.5 million square feet of office and industrial space. Across Canada, the company has also developed more than 12,000 rental and condominium homes. Supporting investors has always been a priority at Concert, and as the company continues to grow and evolve, it has further strengthened its Investor Relations function by establishing a dedicated team focused on enhancing how it supports and communicates with investors.
The team brings investor-related matters across Concert Real Estate Corporation, Concert Income Properties and Concert Infrastructure Fund into one centralized point of contact, creating a more coordinated approach to communication, reporting and ongoing engagement.
Leading this department is Lauren Legan, CPA, Director, Investor Relations. Since joining Concert in 2021, Lauren has built a strong understanding of the business through her work in portfolio management, while also taking on an increasing role in supporting shareholder needs.
“Concert applies discipline and long-term thinking to the management of its investments, and we extend that same consistency and care in how we support our investors,” says Legan. “Investor Relations is about helping our partners understand how we’re managing their capital, where the business is headed and ensuring they feel supported along the way.”
The Investor Relations department centralizes a range of services, including general inquiries, reporting and updates, information and presentation requests, meeting coordination and ongoing communication. While much of this work has always existed, formalizing the function creates a more seamless and responsive experience for investors.
"We're not building this from scratch," says Legan. "Concert has always valued its investor relationships. What's changing is that we now have a dedicated team and the infrastructure to deliver an even higher standard of service."
That experience matters at Concert, where long-term relationships are foundational to the business. Behind the company are union and management pension plans and institutional investors representing more than 200,000 Canadians. Their investments help support the development, ownership and management of the places where people live and work across Canada. In turn, Concert’s long-term approach to stewardship helps deliver value for the pension beneficiaries and institutions that rely on those investments.
“We are committed to making it easy for our investors to stay informed and connected,” Legan adds. “Whether someone has invested with Concert for years or is exploring opportunities for the first time, we want them to know they have a trusted point of contact and access to the information they need.”
