Concert Properties Board member receives top professional honour

Warmest congratulations to our Board member Gopi Chande on her being elected to fellowship at the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC (CPABC). The fellowship designation (FCPA) reflects outstanding contributions to the CPA profession, career achievements and community.

Every year, CPABC seeks to identify members making a significant impact in their organization, the broader business community, charitable and community organizations, and the CPA profession in consideration for the Fellowship designation. Chande was elected to fellowship for her extraordinary professional and volunteer achievements and setting the standard for excellence.

As Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer at TELUS she supported scaling TELUS’ fibre network project from $200 million to over $6 billion. She also supported the professional development of her peers as a member of CPA Canada’s Foresight: Reimagining the Profession initiative in 2020, and through Dress for Success, mentored and supported women immigrants in advancing their careers. She is also a passionate advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and sits on the advisory board for Telus’ EDI team, as well as executive sponsor of Telus’ Women in Finance initiatives.

Chande, FCPA, FPA, has sat on the Board of Directors of Concert Properties since 2017 as one of two trustees for the Telecommunication Workers Pension Plan (TWPP), which is a shareholder of Concert Properties. Since her appointment she has provided valuable insights, perspectives and direction to the Board based on her extensive professional experience.

She and the other CPABC 2022 honourees will be celebrated at a dinner on April 4, 2023. Learn more about Gopi Chande’s story here.
