375 new homes complete alongside major public realm and infrastructure upgrades
and the reopening of an enhanced section of the North Shore Spirit Trail
NORTH VANCOUVER, BC (September 19, 2026) – Concert Properties marked the completion of phase one at North Harbour on Saturday, delivering 375 new homes in the first stage of its 12-acre mixed-use community on North Vancouver’s waterfront.
The first phase includes four residential buildings, commercial space, and significant public realm and infrastructure upgrades. Additionally, the section of the North Shore Spirit Trail running through the completed first phase of North Harbour has reopened following its temporary closure during construction.
The occasion was marked with a ribbon-cutting event hosted by Concert Properties and attended by City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan, City representatives, project partners, consultants and members of the Concert team.
The first four buildings offer a diversity of housing options, including ownership and rental homes. Drift began welcoming residents in January, with 163 condominium and townhome residences. Aire East and Aire West followed in July, adding 102 condominium homes across the two buildings. Echo adds 110 purpose-built rental homes and is now leasing, with Concert preparing to welcome its first residents in October.

Completion of the first phase has also brought substantial upgrades to public spaces and infrastructure in and around North Harbour. Delivered in collaboration with the City of North Vancouver, the work includes underground utility upgrades, a new stormwater treatment facility at the foot of Fell Avenue, new sidewalks, landscaping and street trees, and a bi-directional bike lane along Harbourside Drive.
The Fell Avenue overpass has also been expanded to include a new multi-use pathway for pedestrians and cyclists, while landscaped pathways and seating areas along the shoreline provide new places to gather, rest and take in the waterfront views.
The enhanced section of the North Shore Spirit Trail accommodates people walking, cycling and using wheeled mobility devices, with connections east toward Lonsdale Quay and the SeaBus and west toward Park Royal. It forms part of the broader North Shore Spirit Trail, envisioned as a 35-kilometre greenway extending from Horseshoe Bay to Deep Cove.
Sustainability and climate resilience have also informed the design of North Harbour. The site has been raised to help protect the area against potential future sea-level rise, while Drift, Aire and Echo were built to achieve BC Energy Step Code 3 — a higher energy-efficiency standard Concert Properties adopted voluntarily ahead of it becoming a requirement. The approach was recognized through FortisBC’s New Construction Performance Program.

Concert Properties and the City of North Vancouver have worked together on North Harbour since rezoning planning began in 2010, alongside Bosa Construction, consultants, trades and other project partners involved in bringing the first phase to completion.
As North Harbour becomes more established, new businesses will add neighbourhood services and amenities. A JJ Bean café at Echo and a 123 Dentist location at Drift are both planned to open in 2027.
With phase one complete, Concert Properties is also actively working with the City of North Vancouver on phase two as the next stage of the North Harbour community moves through planning and design.
