Concert Properties President & CEO Christine Bergeron takes extended leave; John Dooling named Interim CEO

September 29, 2025, Vancouver BC — Christine Bergeron is taking an extended leave of absence from her current role as President & CEO to focus on her health and family. John Dooling has been named Interim Chief Executive Officer of Concert Properties by the Board of Directors.

As the length of Bergeron’s leave of absence is unclear, she and the Board have decided the best course of action is to initiate a formal search for a new President & CEO while the company continues to advance its strategic priorities.

During Bergeron’s initial leave, Dooling was previously appointed Interim CEO in June 2024 and served through July 2025, working closely with Bergeron throughout her phased return. He will re-assume these duties in addition to his current position as Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer. Under Dooling’s proven leadership, and with the support of the Board and experienced Executive Team, Concert Properties remains firmly on course. With a clear strategic vision and an unwavering commitment to customers, partners and stakeholders, the company is confident in its continued momentum.

Over the course of Bergeron’s two-year tenure, Concert Properties has remained a resilient organization with $6.6B in assets under control. Her steady leadership fostered trust among stakeholders while successfully guiding the company through uncertain market conditions. Marked by a strong commitment to sustainability, equity and community impact, Bergeron’s values-driven leadership embedded environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles at the core of the company’s business operations.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, our first thoughts are with Christine and her family, and we join everyone here in supporting her as she focuses on what matters most,” says Ivan Limpright, Chair, Concert Properties. “Christine has led with strength, passion and conviction during a pivotal time for our company. She is an exceptional leader whose intellect, vision and ability to empower others have elevated our organization. We are deeply grateful for her invaluable contributions and genuine commitment to our people, shareholders and the broader community. The foundation she built on will continue to shape our future success. We are keeping Christine and her family in our hearts and will miss her immensely.”
