Concert recognized as a top workplace the BC 2021 Top Employer Program

February 17, 2021, Vancouver, BC - We are pleased to announce that Concert has been named a BC 2021 Top Employer, recognized for our support of ongoing employee career and personal development, long term financial security, as well as our rapid pivot to working-from-home in 2020.

The BC Top Employer program is now in its 16th year, and recognizes employers in British Columbia who are not only industry leaders, but who have also created exceptional workplace environments for their employees.

The evaluation process is comprehensive, with program judges reviewing applications from other progressive, forward-thinking companies against a set of criteria that includes: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial, and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and, community involvement.

With the pandemic changing working life across Canada in 2020, this past year became markedly different from previous years.

In addition to the above criteria, applicants were also asked to describe how they continued to support employees through this difficult time. At Concert, initiatives included the launch of a wellness program, a food drive program, additional paid sick time in case of exposure or illness, accelerated implementation of our digital transformation initiative, and a continuously evolving plan to provide safe work options that fit employee needs – all while continuing to recruit and hire in the midst of a pandemic.

“This last year has reinforced Concert’s commitment to being a top employer,” says Concert CEO Brian McCauley. “We spent many years building a solid foundation for the positive workplace that led to the submission of our application. That we were then able to adapt so quickly to change last year speaks to the resiliency and innovation of our talented employees. We are so proud to be recognized for the community that the Concert workplace has become today.”
