Myriad Welcomes Homeowners to the Heart of Burquitlam

This month, Myriad becomes a place that people call home. Lights have turned on, homeowners are arriving, and between every box unpacked and every introduction between neighbours, life is beginning to take shape within its walls.

Rising 50 storeys at the edge of Burnaby and Coquitlam, Myriad delivers 468 condominium homes, marking the final chapter of our master-planned community, the Heart of Burquitlam. Myriad joins the already complete 55One rental building, the Bettie Allard YMCA and the redesigned Burquitlam Park, bringing together a neighbourhood shaped by an innovative partnership between Concert Properties, YMCA BC and the City of Coquitlam.

“Moments like this carry a lot of meaning,” says Craig Watters, Chief Operations Officer. “While this is an important milestone for our team and partners, it matters most for the people who make this community their home. For many, this moment represents years of hard work and saving. It’s where people will build their lives—whether starting out, raising a family or choosing a maintenance-free lifestyle. That’s a responsibility we take seriously.”

That thinking is reflected in Myriad’s people-first design. More than 20,000 square feet of shared space support daily life, with places to move, focus, gather or recharge. From a fitness room and coworking and meeting areas to quieter places like a serenity lounge and guest suites, residents of all backgrounds and ages can use the building in ways that suit their needs.

At ground level, the Porch on the Park opens directly into Burquitlam Park, where bench swings, outdoor seating and BBQ areas create opportunity for relaxed, open-air moments, from a quiet morning coffee to time spent with neighbours.

On the 50th floor, the rooftop offers a different setting. A chef’s kitchen and dining area open onto an expansive terrace with views across the city and surrounding mountains. Around it, the space shifts throughout the day—residents tending the urban garden, children playing in the outdoor playground, others gathering in the media room and lounge.

Connection at Myriad extends beyond shared spaces to its natural surroundings. Designed by dys architecture, Myriad’s landmark silhouette echoes the surrounding mountains, adding to Burquitlam’s growing skyline. Inside, Insight Design Group focused on integrating natural textures and a restrained palette, creating a calm backdrop that allows the views to take the lead. Together, these design elements culminate in more than just a residential offering.

With Myriad now complete, the Heart of Burquitlam exists as it was intended—a cohesive, connected neighbourhood where homes, services and shared spaces are all within reach. Its mix of condominium, market and below-market rental homes, connected by transit, park space and community amenities, creates a place where daily life can easily unfold and where community takes root within an urban setting.

“The Heart of Burquitlam has always been about more than any one building,” says Watters. “It’s about creating a place where everything works together for the people who live there.” For more information, visit myriadbyconcert.com.
