Transforming our story to reflect our people-first purpose

Welcome to the revised edition of Blueprint. You’ll notice a new look for Blueprint, and also for our website, as part of a renewal of our brand that we’re proud to share with you.

Putting people first has always been at the heart of who we are since day one, when we were founded with the mandate to create assured rental housing. We’ve since grown and diversified to become a $7 billion real estate corporation wholly-owned by union and management pension plans representing over 200,000 Canadians.

Our portfolio today includes rentals, condominiums, seniors' active aging communities, industrial and commercial properties, and public infrastructure projects across Canada. But people and communities are still at the heart of what we do, and we are deeply invested in improving the lives of the people who live and work in our communities.

Sustainable communities Concert condomiuniums

"Concert was built out of a core belief that strong, sustainable communities are fundamental to the social well-being of all Canadians. It’s a vision that guides us every day,” says Brian McCauley, Concert’s President & Chief Executive Officer.

It had been twenty years since the Concert brand was developed, and about a year ago we began the process of modernizing our story and brand. We knew that our people-first ethos was at the heart of our story, and in investigating what made us different and motivated our employees to stay at Concert, one common theme emerged: our values of service, quality and integrity, and a commitment to people, have remained consistent over the past three decades.

The resulting branding better reflects who we are as a company today and we are proud to share our new Blueprint, our new corporate website, and our new tagline: Building a people-first future.

This one phrase is the cornerstone of a brand story that illustrates our commitment to building environmentally and socially sustainable communities; showcases our relentless commitment to quality; and highlights our pride as a Canadian-owned and operated company that works together with the people we serve to realize our vision— of building resilient, inclusive sustainable communities.
