A year of giving back: Community impact at Concert Properties

Giving back to the communities where we live and work continues to be a core part of our work at Concert Properties. Through hands-on volunteerism, donation drives, sponsorships and employee-led initiatives, our teams across BC and Ontario came together throughout 2025 to support organizations making a meaningful difference.

Practical Support, Powered by Our People

Covenant House – Vancouver

Employees and residents across our residential portfolio recently participated in a sock drive supporting Covenant House Vancouver, which provides shelter and services to more than 900 youth experiencing homelessness each year. In total, more than 450 pairs of new socks were donated, helping meet a simple but essential need.

Binners’ Project

For the fifth year, our Vancouver office supported Binners’ Project, a local social enterprise that works with informal recyclers—known as “binners”—to reduce stigma and create safer, more equitable economic opportunities across Metro Vancouver. Through a winter donation drive, employees contributed food and essential winter items to help binners stay warm and supported during the colder months.

This summer, Concert Properties team members also volunteered at the Alley Oop Street Party, a Binners’ Project community event that celebrates the vital role binners play in keeping the city clean.

Canadian Blood Services

In response to the tragic events surrounding Vancouver’s Lapu-Lapu Day, employees organized a three-month blood drive in honour of the victims. The campaign supported Canadian Blood Services’ life-saving work, brought together first-time and returning donors. Its impact has continued beyond the campaign, inspiring additional appointments.

Stocking Stuffers for Seniors

Through the London Drugs Stocking Stuffers for Seniors campaign, our Information Services and Technology team helped fulfil the holiday wish lists of 17 seniors, providing essential and comfort items including blankets, clothing, books and personal care products. The initiative focused on bringing warmth and connection to a group that is at risk of isolation during the holiday season.

To mark International Women’s Day 2025, teams in Vancouver and Toronto volunteered with Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that supports women entering or re-entering the workforce by providing professional attire, career development tools and mentorship. Volunteers assisted with clothing preparation and merchandising, while a company-wide clothing drive collected over 400 items across Vancouver, Toronto and Victoria. Concert Properties also contributed $3,000 to support Dress for Success programs in both cities.

Youth Without Shelter

In 2025, our Toronto office continued its long-standing partnership with Youth Without Shelter, an organization providing emergency housing and support services to youth experiencing homelessness in the Greater Toronto Area. The annual Youth Engagement Day brought together 20 Concert Properties volunteers and more than 25 youth and employees for a day of games, activities and shared meals, complemented by an August food drive that collected over 800 pounds of donations and youth gift packs for residents.

Journey Home Community

Through our ongoing partnership with Journey Home Community, Concert Properties supports the Meanwhile Spaces Program, which provides transitional housing for refugee claimants arriving in Canada. At Whitgift Gardens, this partnership has helped house 164 individuals across 69 households to date, offering stability and a sense of home during a critical transition period. In 2025, teams also came together to celebrate and support Journey Home Community’s The Welcome Table 20th Anniversary Gala.

SHARE Family & Community Services

In the Tri-Cities, Concert Properties supports SHARE Family & Community Services, an organization that delivers essential programs to families in need, including a food bank, counselling and family support services.

In December, team members volunteered at SHARE’s annual Toy Bank in Port Moody, supporting with the distribution of donated toys to families facing financial challenges during the holiday season. Volunteers assisted parents in selecting donated toys for their children and helped support the distribution process during one of the organization’s busiest times of year.

Earlier in the year, Concert Properties was also proud to serve as a Diamond sponsor of SHARE’s IMAGINE Gala, which raises vital funds to support programs and services across the Tri-Cities.

Proceeds from the event contributed directly to programs that support individuals and families across British Columbia.

Investing in Trades Training and Education

Concert Properties’ Annual Charity Golf Tournaments

Concert Properties hosted its annual charity golf tournaments in Vancouver and Toronto, bringing together partners, consultants and suppliers to support skilled trades education across Canada. The 2025 music-themed tournaments raised $325,000, funding bursaries, scholarships and training programs, and bringing Concert Properties’ total contribution to trades education to $5 million since 1995.
