Marking a significant milestone, Concert Properties has been actively shaping the City of Victoria for two decades. Designing new communities that contribute to Victoria’s rich history, combined with our commitment to excellence, has resulted in numerous award-winning buildings and communities.
In 2003, we entered the Victoria condominium market with Astoria, a mixed-use tower that was quickly followed by neighbouring Belvedere. Both buildings completed in 2006, providing 241 homes and new street-level retail to downtown.
We further added to the Victoria landscape in 2008 with Chelsea, a boutique condominium complementing its historic Fairfield neighbourhood, and 365 Waterfront in 2009, a terraced building in the Selkirk Waterfront Community. By 2015, the completion of Era delivered 157 condominium homes in downtown and the revitalization of Millie’s Lane.
We then embarked on our most ambitious undertaking in Victoria. Capital Park in the historic James Bay neighbourhood, which sought to transform an entire downtown city block. Completed in 2021 in partnership with Jawl Properties, the six-acre, mixed-use master-planned community, seamlessly blends rental and condominium homes, office, retail, and an expansive people-centric courtyard. The sustainable LEED design includes the restoration of heritage homes, green roofs and the installation of the largest solar array on Vancouver Island.
In 2021, Tapestry at Victoria Harbour, our seniors’ community for independent adults opened its doors, offering sophisticated condominium and rental homes for those seeking an active and fulfilling retirement lifestyle. This community quickly achieved ‘Best in Wellness’ awards in 2021 and 2022 for its holistic approach to active aging that inspires residents to remain social, healthy and engaged.
Each of these developments reflects our commitment to building resilient, inclusive and sustainable communities that thrive. And today, we proudly reflect on the 20 awards of excellence these communities have garnered over the past 20 years. Our greatest achievement, however, is the trust we have gained from our many repeat homeowners - a true test of quality and reputation that is earned over time.
